Thanks for coming out, twitteres of Aalborg, and making the first ever Aalborg Twestival a success! If it wasn’t for you guys, the event would not have been possible.

We really hope you had a great night, enjoyed the entertainment of the night and used the evening to network and meet the online world in real life.

So, what are the facts?

- The total amount of money raised during Aalborg Twestival: $1,143 (DKK 6,524).

- The total amount of money raised world wide: $353,561 (DKK 2,018,833)

Now, that’s a whole lot of money for charity!

The $1,143 raised during Aalborg Twestival may not seem like a lot of money but the impact is huge. For $1,143 Concern Worldwide will be able to help 16 girls in the third world to go to school for one year!

We are so proud of the result and we really want to thank our sponsors, the artists of night, and all the participants for making Aalborg Twestival a reality.

Kom til Aalborg Twestival

For første gang afholdes Aalborg Twestival – det er en velgørenhedsevent skabt af entusiastiske twittere. Til eventen er der levende musik med den lokale sangskriver Morten Mosgaard sammen med guitaristen Jens Varmløse. Tryllekunstneren David Tholander optræder og der kommer inspirerende indlæg fra innovative virksomheder. Hvem vil blive afsløret snart.

Twestivallen afholdes den 25. marts kl.19-23 på Aalborg Havn, på husbåden/restauranten ”Den Fede Ælling”, der ligger ved havnekajen på Aalborgsiden af Limfjordsbroen.

Alt overskud går til at hjælpe piger i den tredje verden til en skolegang.

Twestival er en verdensomspændende event, hvor frivillige twittere mødes offline den samme dag og arrangerer velgørenhedsarrangementer. Alle Twestivaller donerer deres overskud til hjælpeorganisationen Concern Worldwide.

As mentioned earlier the event will be held on the houseboat and restaurant Den Fede Ælling. We are really excited about this unique location for the first Aalborg Twestival, and we hope you are too. To get a feel of the venue take a look at the photo below. And don’t worry - the event will take place indoors, but when you need to catch a breath of fresh air, you can really enjoy the view.

The Aalborg Twestival will take place on March 25 from 7 pm - 11 pm, and we are working hard on putting together an inspiring and fun programme for the event. This year’s programme includes stand-up, live music, inspiring talks from innovative start-ups, and even a magician! There will also be a lottery with great prices to win.
